So, after staying at a friend’s house, the next morning I was closer to the Ski resort and was able to start skiing early in the day… It was even better than the day before, sunny and warm (2+ celcius) and lot’s of new snow from a recent snow storm. My legs were already sore from the previous day 6-hour skiing, so I had to be a little cautious to not break anything
However, I was so excited that I ended up skiing for another 6 hours in total… Wow, at the end of the day, I was quite exhausted… But still, I was feeling soooo satisfied and thankful for this amazing weekend.
Here is a video of that great day:
Cheers!
Last week I took Friday off from work to go on a ski trip, my first time this season. So I first drove to one of the earliest opening ski resorts in Ontario: Horseshoe Ski Resort. The day as all right, a little chilly with the wind but the snow was pretty good. Barrie – where the resort is located – had recently received a huge dump of the white stuff so the skiing conditions were great. Only two runs where open, but enough for a fun time early in the season. Here a vid from this day:
Six hours later my legs were so tired that I had to stop (even though I wanted to continue). Spent the night at a friend’s house in Newmarket (~40 min from Barrie) and the next morning I had one of the best skiing days I ever had – sunny, warm, great snow and great resort… Will blog about that another time (with a new video).
PS: If you noticed something different with the AC/DC music, well, that’s because it’s me that is playing the drums lol!!! Hey, I was just having fun, so please excuse my errors
So, it seems that Fall is finally here… It was a great summer, I had lot’s of great weekends but now is time to winterize my Harley and prepare for the coming Skiing season (can’t wait for the white stuff so I can hit the slopes!)…But before that happens, Fall is a great time to enjoy the outdoors as well… Hiking, mountain biking, sight seeing beautiful places like the Algonquin Park and so on…
Early this month I had the pleasure to do some mountain biking with a good friend at the Herber Down Conservation Area near Whitby, it was a blast! Then a couple of weekends ago I had my last Harley ride of the year… My mom Rosa (CasaNoCanada.com) organized a day trip around the Algonquin Highlands region with some friends and it was awesome. We were in 3 cars and 1 motorcycle
It was quite chilly while riding but it was worth it, what an awe-inspiring ride! Here is a vid with some these moments…
PS: As you might’ve noticed from my previous video I lost some pounds since early this year, yay!
By the way, here is a great post about winterizing your house… It’s written in Portuguese and has lot’s of tips for new home owners on what you need to do in order to get prepared for winter: http://casanocanada.com/2009/10/15/prepare-sua-casa-para-o-inverno/
Yes, it’s been a while. My last post was around mid 2008! But it’s time to start writing again, showing how beautiful is the country I live.. CANADA! And as you might’ve noticed, no more posts in Portuguese… My life is in Canada now and most of my friends in Brazil can read English, so no more excuses
…
So, first of all I want to let everyone about a recent change in my life… I’m single again! Life is just awesome and too short to spend time with someone that can’t respect you. After some rough months I finally feel awesome and grateful for having the courage of making a decision to step out of a damaging relationship. My life is just awesome now, I have an unbelievable loving family and a job and country that allows me to enjoy life at it’s fullest extent! Today I do things I’d never image doing back in Brazil, not even in my dreams! For instance, check out this video I’ve made to capture some amazing moments I had this year while riding my first and beautiful Harley-Davidson!
